The packing straps made of polyester have characteristics that make them comparable in use to those of steel: in fact they too demonstrate high anchoring, low elongation and resist tearing even with very high loads. However, they have the further advantage of immunity from rust, and resistance to atmospheric agents, including sudden changes in temperature and UV rays; moreover, PET straps are less dangerous to use than steel straps, because they do not snap backwards during cutting and do not maintain sharp edges, which avoids the risk of injury for both the sender and the recipient.
